The key to making money in this industry is to have prizes that the public wants and have high perceived values. HMS Monaco
HMS is offering two lines of merchandise that are especially popular this summer, producing significant revenues for operators.
First is licensed plush and novelties based on Disney’s movie Frozen, the top grossing movie of the year. Frozen has become a cult favorite just like Nemo and Aladdin are. Kids are going crazy for our 8″ Frozen talking plush, 15″ Dolls, Backpacks, Pop Figures, Magnets, LCD watches, etc.
Our second line of hot product is for Minecraft, the wildly popular video game that kids find addictive. Played on computers, smart phones, and home game systems, Minecraft is a challenging game where players test their skills gathering resources, crafting, exploring and engaging in combat. HMS is offering an extensive line of Minecraft plush, vinyl figures, buttons, key chains, stickers, etc.
For both Frozen and Minecraft, HMS additionally offers prize kits for cranes and other popular coin op games including Key Master, Stacker, Barber Cut, and Road Trip.

Top 50 Redemption & Merchandise Games – Combined
TRR has compiled the Top 34 Redemption & Top 14 Merchandise Dispensing Games that Alpha-Omega Amusements & Sales currently has at one of its locations. Included in the ranking is an Apple Photo Booth and an Air Hockey game. There were 79 games in operation at this particular location at the time of this report.

Here’s the Ticket!
The Top 50 Redemption & Merchandiser Combined List is put together from actual collections from games owned and operated by Alpha-Omega Amusements at two locations so I know that the data is correct and is not changed in any way. The purpose of the List is for you to see where your current games place or rank and see where other games that you do not have would rank in your facility.
We test many of the new games and you can see where they rank among the Top 50 and see earnings and Ticket Payout % from the 4 weeks comparison in the Test Game Spreadsheet. Additional games that are scheduled for testing are:
Analysis of Top 50 Redemption & Merchandise Combined
These are the best new games that have had steady top earnings over the past several months:
Wizard of Oz 6 Pl (Elaut), is the current #1 ranking game. During regular weeks it usually earns slightly more than Monster Drop Extreme but during peak weeks it earns 75% more than Monster Drop Extreme because the Wizard of Oz has 6 player positions. When this is taken into account, Wizard of Oz is my overall #1 pick.
Whack N Win (ICE) with three months of testing has moved up to rank #5 which is very impressive. Earning over $2000 in a peak week and over $1000 in the regular weeks, the only games that earned more are Wizard of Oz 6 Pl, Monster Drop Extreme, and the two Big Bass Wheels. The ticket payout % is right on target averaging 30% over the period.
Candy Crane with Tickets is still the biggest phenomenon (#6 combined ranking & #1 merchandiser ranking) and averaging over $1000/week for now 5 months straight. As reported in the previous TRR #22 and #23, this simple merchandiser with a very high hit frequency and very low maximum prize value of $1.13 proves that players can be attracted to low tech games.
Color Match (LAI) is another amazing game with a #10 combined ranking and the #3 merchandiser ranking. We are working hard to figure out the best Win % settings that have ranged from a low of 2% to a high of 40% and now believe we have figured it out. The average over each 4 week period has been right on target.
Down the Clown A & B (ICE) coming in the combined ranking at #9 & #13 has consistently over the past several months shown that is worthy of a ‘work horse’ position. The ticket payout % is averaging 30% for the past 3 months and we will leave it there as the game is doing so well. As we have two Down the Clowns, it is probable that if we only had one unit, that this unit would gross at least 50% more that would move it up into the #5 ranking. My advice is to get one unit and set it at 30% payout at $1/play.
Ticket Monster (Bay-Tek) has the #7 rank but is very close to #6. It has averaged over $1000/week for the period with an average 25% ticket payout percentage. This game has been a good addition to our 60+ games locations and has not taken revenues away from the Big Bass Wheels as we originally thought it might.
